Hi! I'm a science and health sciences tutor with a Master's in Biomedical Sciences (4.0, Summa Cum Laude), a Bachelor's in Biology, a psychology minor, and an active pharmacy intern license. I work with students at every level, from high schoolers in their first bio or chem class, to AP Bio and AP Psych students prepping for the exam, to college students grinding through Anatomy & Physiology, Microbiology, Genetics, Organic Chemistry, and Biochem, to pre-nursing and pre-health students getting ready for the TEAS or their first semester of nursing school. I also tutor Psychology across the board (intro, biological, abnormal, developmental, social, learning, research methods), Sociology, Pharmacology and Psychopharmacology (my specialty, thanks to a year of PharmD coursework and my pharmacy license), and PTCB exam prep.
My teaching style is simple: I meet you where you are. Big subjects like biology, chem, and psych have a lot of moving parts, and most students don't struggle because they can't learn it. They struggle because no one has slowed down and connected the dots for them. That's what I do. We'll work through your textbook, your lecture notes, your study guide, or your actual homework, whatever you bring to the session, and I'll break concepts down until they click.
What you can expect from me: patience, clear explanations, real-world examples (especially for tough stuff like biochem pathways, drug mechanisms, and physiology), and practice questions that mirror what you'll see on your exam. I'll also help you build study habits that stick, because passing the next test matters, but so does the one after that.
I tutor online via Wyzant's virtual platform, which makes scheduling easy and lets us share a whiteboard, diagrams, and resources in real time. Message me with what class you're in, where you're stuck, and when your next exam is, and we'll put a plan together.

Approved Subjects

Genetics

Genetics

I completed extensive coursework in genetics as part of both my Bachelor's in Biology and my Master's in Biomedical Sciences. My undergraduate training covered classical and Mendelian genetics (inheritance patterns, Punnett squares, pedigrees, linkage, and recombination), and my graduate coursework built on that with molecular genetics, gene regulation, mutations, and introductory genomics and genetic engineering. My biomedical sciences program also required substantial work on the genetic basis of human disease, which reinforced these concepts in a clinical and research context. Based on this academic background, I am fully qualified to tutor genetics at the high school, AP Biology, and undergraduate levels
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

I bring a strong pharmacology background combining one completed year of PharmD coursework, an active pharmacy intern license, and an M.S. in Biomedical Sciences (4.0 GPA), which together cover both the foundational science and applied drug knowledge that pharm courses build on. I'm comfortable tutoring nursing, allied health, and intro to intermediate college pharmacology, including pharmacokinetics (ADME), pharmacodynamics, receptor theory, dose-response, autonomic pharmacology, and the major drug classes by mechanism of action. My approach is mechanism-first, since once students understand the receptor and the pathway, the indications, side effects, and contraindications follow logically instead of feeling like endless memorization. I'll always tailor sessions to your specific course material so our time is focused on exactly what your exam covers.
Psychology

Psychology

I completed a psychology minor for health sciences alongside my B.S. in Biology, taking over 10 psychology courses spanning intro psych, biological psychology, abnormal psych, developmental psych, social psych, learning, and research methods. Paired with my M.S. in Biomedical Sciences (4.0 GPA) and pre-PA coursework in neuroscience and pharmacology, I bring both breadth across the major psych units and real depth on the biological foundations of behavior. I tutor intro psychology, AP Psychology, biopsychology, and the major intro psych units, and my approach focuses on connecting concepts across topics so the material clicks instead of feeling like memorization. Sessions are always tailored to your specific course so we focus on exactly what your exam covers.
