I’m a scientist with a strong background in Chemistry, Biology, Bioinformatics, and Math/Statistics. I completed my BS/MS in Chemistry with a focus in Physical Chemistry, followed by an MS in Bioinformatics and a PhD in Pharmacology. I’ve taught general, analytical, organic, physical, and biochemistry, as well as biology related subjects including genetics, bioinformatics, and biostatistics. Over more than 10 years of college level teaching, I’ve worked with both high school and college students in one on one, small group, and large class settings.

My tutoring style is very student centered. I use a “you drive” approach where the student leads the process, and I guide, clarify, and help them build real understanding. I believe students learn far more when they’re actively engaged rather than simply being told the answers. As long as a student puts in an honest effort, I’m committed to helping them succeed.

I’m comfortable supporting students with homework, test preparation, and strengthening foundational concepts across chemistry, biology, and quantitative subjects. My goal is always to make challenging material feel clear, approachable, and logical.

Approved Subjects

Biostatistics

Biostatistics

Expert in statistical analysis for biological data. Instructed graduate and undergraduate courses in biostatistics.
Chemistry

Chemistry

I’ve taught chemistry for over 10 years across general, analytical, organic, physical, and biochemistry courses. With a BS/MS in Chemistry focused on Physical Chemistry, I’m comfortable breaking down both conceptual and math‑heavy topics. My approach emphasizes clarity, intuition, and problem‑solving strategies that help students feel confident rather than overwhelmed. I meet students where they are and help them build a strong foundation.
Data Analysis

Data Analysis

I have extensive experience performing statistical analysis on large and complex data sets, including work with next‑generation sequencing (NGS) data. My background spans descriptive, diagnostic, predictive, and prescriptive analytics, giving students a full view of how data is explored, interpreted, and used for decision‑making. I’ve worked with real‑world biological and computational data, applying rigorous statistical methods to uncover patterns and insights. I help students strengthen their analytical reasoning, improve their technical skills, and build confidence in approaching data‑driven problems.
Genetics

Genetics

I’ve taught college‑level genetics and proteomics courses helping students build a strong understanding of how genes function and how genetic information is analyzed. My experience includes teaching gene structure and expression, transcriptomics, protein structure prediction, informatics‑based medicine, next‑generation sequencing, genomic annotation, and sequence alignment. I focus on making complex genetic concepts and data‑driven methods clear and approachable, guiding students to interpret results and understand the reasoning behind modern genetic tools. My goal is to help students develop confidence with both foundational genetics and advanced analytical techniques.
Pharmacology

Pharmacology

With a PhD in Pharmacology, I’ve taught students how drugs interact with biological systems at molecular, cellular, and physiological levels. I help students understand mechanisms of action, receptor theory, dose‑response relationships, and therapeutic applications. My explanations emphasize clarity and real‑world relevance, making challenging material easier to grasp. I support students in coursework, exam prep, and building a strong conceptual framework.
