Chef Anand "Bill" Julka has had a lifelong passion for cooking and culinary creations. He is an engineer by trade, an entrepreneur and had long and successful career in information technology. But after retiring from his executive job, he is following his true passion, which has always been cooking.
Chef Bill was born in Delhi, India, where a short order cook had accidentally innovated tandoori chicken, which is now enjoyed by billions around the world. After moving to the United States to pursue his graduate degree in the 1970's, Bill had a desire to introduce Indian cuisine to the Western World. He was retained by a facility in Ohio to train professional chefs, serving thousands of residents every day, in the art of Indian cooking. He has produced a planned pilot for the Food Network called "Beyond Curry", and currently has thousands of views on social media platforms like TikTok and Instagram where his recipes are showcased.
Julka also utilizes many time-saving techniques, like use Insta-Pots, microwave steamers and other methods that make cooking more efficient without any noticeable loss of quality. These methods are often ignored by traditional chefs.
Julka is a 1974 graduate of Cleveland State University’s Fenn College of Engineering with a Master of Science degree in Industrial Engineering. He has an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering from the Indian Institute of Technology in Delhi, and an MBA from Case Western Reserve University.
Julka has more than 30 years of experience in the information technology services industry. He started his own technology business in 1983 after leaving a very successful career as a senior industrial engineer at Eaton Corp.
