I taught an SAT/ACT Verbal Reading/Writing class to 11th graders for over 7 years & private tutoring for the past 9 years. In this, I have developed a detailed understanding and specific lessons that assist students in preparing for the verbal and writing portions of both exams.

I taught a night school QuickBooks course for 10 years. Additionally, the last 10 years, I have been working 1-on-1 with tutoring accounting professionals & business owners in QB. I know various platforms for QB (PC & Mac); QB desktop versions (Basic, Pro, Premier, Accountant) & QB Online. Also, I have 26 years of bookkeeping experience in Aviation, Automotive, Construction, and Health Care fields utilizing the QB software.

Lastly, I have been tutoring 1-on-1 in MS Office Suite - Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Google G-Suite of programs such as Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms & Meets. I am Google Educator Certified & can take you from the beginning through to the advanced level. This, combined with having taught QB, has made me comfortable & confident in software instruction.

While there I taught all aspects of the latest versions of the software in the Pro, Premier, and Accountant editions. Since then I have learned and mastered the QB Online platform of the software. Furthermore, I have practical application because I have utilized Quickbooks in conducting a part-time bookkeeping business for the past 25 years.

Very professional and knowledgeable tutor

Writing history essays is the top difficult task for my daughter, especially for timed assignments. After a few sessions with John, my daughter even finished four essays in 1.5 week and made up all missing assignments. Such performance has never happened before. John has a magic switch and knew exactly how to address my daughter's hesitations and clear out the writing strategies. We definitely will continue with John to secure her AP world history study.
