He is super patient, and is able to relate complicated material to simple every day things so it makes it more understandable. He is very encouraging and positive, even if I don't get something he will explain it in a different way. I am finally grasping things that I had so much trouble with, and am very thankful that I found this tutor and website. Highly recommend.
I have had the good fortune of tutoring several high school and college students in math, science, and economics over the years. When I first start tutoring someone, s/he is often frustrated and discouraged, so my first objective is to get his/her confidence back. That is even more important than the subject matter, as important as that is. Once the person's confidence returns, then s/he will be more receptive to what I am teaching, and significant improvement will follow.

Didn’t make me feel dumb for not knowing things that were taught in organic chem 1 as I had him tutor me in organic chem 2. Very patient and encouraging in the way he tutors and he is willing to take you step by step, or even explain it in multiple ways to help you better understand. I was a little hesitant as I had used a wyzant tutor about a year prior in efforts to improve my physics grade, but they let me down and made me feel stupid and hopeless. Timothy is the exact opposite of what I feared from a tutor and instead he will nurture your growth in the subject and help you gain the knowledge and confidence you need to take on your classes! I would highly recommend.
