I’ve been playing and studying chess, backgammon, and poker for most of my life, and I teach these games at prestigious private members' clubs, including The Bath Club in Miami Beach. My lessons are built around one core idea: learning works best when it’s enjoyable, engaging, and social—not rigid or intimidating.
In chess, I reached a peak rating of 2200 Elo (Candidate Master level), placing me in the top 0.1% of players worldwide. In backgammon, my peak rating was 1866, ranking me in the top 3–4% of competitive players. My poker background includes over $100,000 in winnings, with teaching focused strictly on strategy, probability, and disciplined decision-making.
I work with both children and adults, tailoring each session to the student’s pace and goals. With kids, lessons are fun, interactive, and confidence-building. With adults, sessions emphasize strategic thinking, pattern recognition, and staying sharp under pressure. Whether one-on-one, in small groups, or in club settings, my goal is always the same: a great experience that makes people want to keep learning.
