I’m Licia! I graduated from the University of Lima, Peru’s top-ranked university, with a degree in the Science of Communication. For over 20 years, I ran my own equestrian school, where I taught students of all ages the love of riding horses, confidence, and focus—skills that I now bring into my academic tutoring. After moving to the U.S. I continued my equestrian coaching in Wellington, and I spent six years working within the Palm Beach County School District as a paraprofessional, assisting teachers in preschool and elementary classrooms, particularly with ESE students.
I specialize in tutoring Spanish as a second language (K–12) and supporting elementary students in reading, math, and all core subjects. I’m particularly experienced in working with students with disabilities, providing patient, individualized guidance in an engaging and fun environment that helps them learn at their own pace and build confidence.
My approach is hands-on, encouraging, and adaptive—I meet each student where they are and help them progress with clarity and care. Outside the classroom, I love the outdoors, surfing, and exploring new ways to help people grow. I’m also part of The Resilience Workshop, where I help develop personal growth programs that build confidence and focus in learners of all ages.
