I am a Harvard trained tutor who helps students in high school and college achieve their academic goals and fulfill their true potential. With a nod to the classical motto “Divide and Conquer,” I show students how to break down complex subjects, tasks, and assignments into manageable, easy to understand portions. Over the past ten years, I have helped students gain admission to all eight Ivy League colleges as well as to Georgetown University, University of Chicago, Case Western Reserve, University of Southern California, and other leading universities.
I offer comprehensive instruction in general writing procedures, college essay writing, English, history, art history, political science, macroeconomics, microeconomics, marketing, philosophy, psychology, and sociology, as well as preparation for standardized tests such as the SAT, the ACT, Advanced Placement, and securities industry exams. I conduct my tutoring sessions primarily on FaceTime, but I also offer in-person instruction when appropriate.
I am a magna cum laude graduate of Harvard College with a degree in psychology and sociology. A former New York Times columnist, I am the bestselling author of eight non-fiction books and over 300 newspaper and magazine articles. I am also a scratch golfer with a subspecialty in sports psychology.
