I am currently a Health Sciences student at the University of South Florida, and I have been tutoring elementary students in math, reading, and writing for over two years. My academic background has helped me build a strong foundation in problem-solving, communication, and understanding how students learn at different levels. I enjoy working with younger students because I can help them develop confidence early on, especially in subjects they may struggle with.
My tutoring experience has primarily been one-on-one, where I focus on adapting my teaching style to each student’s needs. I have worked with elementary-aged students on improving reading comprehension, strengthening writing skills, and building math fundamentals. I like to break down concepts into simple, easy-to-understand steps and use patience and encouragement to help students feel comfortable asking questions. I also try to make lessons interactive so students stay engaged and actually enjoy learning.
Over the past two years, I have helped students improve their understanding, complete assignments, and feel more confident in school. My goal as a tutor is not just to help students get the right answers, but to make sure they truly understand the material and can apply it on their own. I am committed to creating a supportive and positive learning environment where students feel motivated to succeed.
