Hello, I am Katherine. I have a BA in Biology, an M.Ed. in Curriculum and Instruction in Science Education, and am currently studying for my PhD in Science Education. I have 22 years' experience teaching high school biology, physical science, environmental science, AP Environmental Science, zoology, marine science, and human anatomy and physiology. I have taught all levels- co-teach, regular, honors and Advanced Placement. I have an extensive background in education, with an emphasis on effective ways of teaching science. I currently teach pre-service and in-service science education majors at a university on how to teach science to students, from pre-K through 12.
I enjoy teaching science and use various ways of helping students learn, such as interactive teaching strategies which incorporate cooperative learning.
