I further went into studying Biology where genetics was the core of that class as well. On the MCAT I scored a 130 on the Biology section which includes genetics. Additionally, I tutored students in genetics at the university through the Chemistry Honor Society

The MCAT has 4 sections, I can confidently tutor for 3 of them. These sections are the chemistry/physics section (128/132), biology/biochemistry (130/132), and psychology/sociology (129/132). I scored above the 85th percentile for all three sections with my scores listed next to each subject. I studied for the MCAT for a year, so I also understand how to handle tricky questions on the MCAT and can offer strategy-based assistance in addition to simple content navigation.

I initially reached out to Akshitha for help with the Chem/Phys section of the MCAT because I knew she had performed well in that area. I ended up gaining far more than just a chem/phys tutor. I found a dedicated tutor who genuinely cared about my success across all sections of the exam. More importantly, I gained a mentor who held me accountable and offered realistic, experience-based advice on how to approach the MCAT as a whole. Akshitha has a deep understanding of the exam and has clearly learned a lot through her own trial and error. Because of that, I trust her to accurately identify my weaknesses and guide me toward improvement. Each session has been both effective and encouraging as she takes the time to connect her iPad to the screen, using visuals and live drawing to walk through examples in a clear and engaging way.
