My philosophy is that students come first! My number one goal is your safety and learning. I have been teaching in Pinellas County for 21 years, and have been tutoring for 27 years. I currently work for a top, national, collegiate high school, inside a college (11-years), teaching chemistry. I also tutor college chemistry for, CHM 1025, General CHM 2045 I & II. I am certified In the state of Florida to teach both Chemistry and Biology at the high school level. My passion is science, however, I absolutely love to teach math as well. I have also taught Biology for ten years and Marine Biology for six.
During the school year, I am working during the school day. Summer times I am more flexible. I also really enjoy tutoring in the afternoons and early evenings because it allows me to answer individual questions that the student might not feel comfortable asking in class. I also love the flexibility it gives me. I love to talk about science and math. It affords me the ability to really uplift and bring a greater knowledge base to the student so they can feel very successful. I enjoy inspiring students to realize just how bright they are. I believe that it is great to learn, knowledge is power, and through tutoring, the thirst for the enlightened mind is quenched more readily. One size does not fit all, and many students benefit from an individualistic approach that shows respect for who they are.
To me, math is the language of the universe. It is elegant and extremely useful in all that we do. I have personally as a younger person been on the other side, where I felt lost and frustrated, and through hard work and perseverance, I overcame that struggle and became one of the most outstanding math students at my high school. This gave me leverage in college and in the work place because it has guided me to higher learning and opened many doors for me. I like to help other lost students find their way too.
Currently, during the day I am teaching at a top collegiate high school, so I know exactly what is required of
