I am very motivating, fun, and above all patient.

I want to help the student achieve their goals in an entertaining, interesting and relaxing way.

I believe students also need to challenge themselves. I work with students to find materials that are just above their level. I want to give you confidence to try using more nuanced language and advanced tenses.

I make sure to focus on difficulties that my students are having instead of quickly proceeding onward. I want to make sure a solid foundation is built before rushing ahead.

I love to focus on real spoken English (reductions, idioms, popular slang, etc).

My first lesson will always have the aim of understanding:
(a) what your level is
(b) what your general interests are
(c) what your goals are in English
(d) how you generally like to learn

I adapt and plan lessons for you. I try to strike a happy balance between serious lessons and fun lessons, however if you desire one or the other exclusively we can certainly go in that direction.

In our serious lessons we will learn grammar. That doesn't mean that it has to be rote! We will construct engaging dialogues and stories with our newly learned concepts.

For fun lessons, we will be reading all your favorite materials in English, describing pictures and incorporating real world media.
