I have completed over 2000 cases and testified about 35 times as an expert in the field of forensic chemistry. I have been trained by FDLE to use Gas Chromatography/Mass Spectrometry (GC/MS), Gas Chromatography/Flame Ionization Detector (GC-FID), Infrared Spectroscopy (FTIR), Ultraviolet Spectroscopy (UV/Vis), Thin Layer Chromatography (TLC), and various extraction methods using solubility to separate compounds in a sample. The FDLE training program I completed is a full year of in depth study of the instruments, techniques, samples, and testimony encountered in forensic chemistry.
