Hi, My name is Arjun Vijay, and I am a Software Engineer with 10+ years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching introductory Computer Science courses at the George Washington University, I have also worked with high schoolers preparing for AP CS, and younger students just learning how to code, allowing me to gain experience working with individuals of all ages and skill levels.

Hi, My name is Arjun Vijay, and I am a Software Engineer with 10+ years of teaching experience. In addition to teaching introductory Computer Science courses at the George Washington University, I have also worked with high schoolers preparing for AP CS, and younger students just learning how to code, allowing me to gain experience working with individuals of all ages and skill levels.

Outside my teaching experience, I have several years of industry experience working as a Full-Stack Software Engineer and Networking Researcher. My preferred languages to teach in are Java, C, Python, or JavaScript.

In my past role as a data science intern, I utilized Python to analyze explicit customer behavioral patterns and design an item-item based collaborative filtering product recommendation engine. Following that, I worked as an Undergraduate Learning Assistant where I taught Python programming and several data analytics tools including NumPy, SciPy, Pandas, and Scikit-learn. Coupled with my current experience as a Software Developer, my past positions have not only allowed me to develop a strong foundation in algorithms/data structures, they have also allowed me to gain a significant amount of experience with data analytics and application design.

Arjun is an awesome tutor. He was not only able to help me understand and complete a few assignments, but he also would know how to break down concepts and explain what was happening in ways that I fully understood.
