Universidad de los Andes (Bogota, Colombia) (MD)
I am a Medical Doctor from Colombia, South America. Graduated from Universidad de los Andes Medical School 2013. Since my graduation, I have been practicing medicine as license general physician as well as surgical assistant. Besides my professional activities, I am the co-founder of the Academic Surgery Research Group "ASURG" in which I work as the Research Team Coordinator. So far, I have been working on several research projects and recently co-author the paper: "Strangulated internal hernia by giant Meckel diverticulum presented as acute appendicitis" for the International Journal of Surgery Case Reports.
Six months ago I moved to the United States pursuing a Surgical Residency. However as part of the process several exams should be done before I can achieve my American Medical License and apply to the surgical residency. While preparing for my exams, I decided to restart what I used to do during medical school: To teach. I used to give English, Biology, Math and Anatomy tutoring during 3 years to people different group ages: 7 to 40 years old. I have found tutoring a relaxing therapy and a way to help others to acquire knowledge as well as a good support resource. Thus, in order to afford my bills while studying, I decided to continue my tutoring routine.
Grade average in Elementary Math "A" plus experience in teaching the subject.
Licensed Medical Doctor (Colombia) with constant study of medical subjects, specially Anatomy and Biology.

Camillo helped my son understand his Algebra much better. He is at ease in connecting with students on their level and boosting their confidence. He finds different ways to understand a topic to match the students way of thinking. We are so happy he worked with our son.
He and his wife helped both my Boys. They identified strong points and what we should cultivate as well as some limitations and how we can overcome them and their plan to help the boys learn Spanish the more efficiently. Would highly recommend.
My first lesson with Camilo went great! I really like his personality and demeanor. I can tell that he will really help me with my learning goals.
Camilo was excellent in all aspects. He met and exceeded my goals for today. He is very patient, clever, creative, kind and patient. We reviewed my goals and he immediately started with them. Great tutor. I suggest you give him a call!
Camilo is so patient and easy to understand. He is very passioned about his teaching and really wants his student to succeed. Great teacher for the Anatomy and physiology class.
In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.
As medical doctor, I have studied and review anatomy for more than 6 years.
Wanting to be a surgeon, the subject of Anatomy is one of my most important subjects of study, so I keep working on the subject constantly.
Currently I am an active medical writer contributing in surgical research.
