About Dr. Peggy

Bio

I have a PhD in English and have been teaching Composition and Literature at the university level for 25 years. A few years ago, I started tutoring private high school students from non-native families to bring their writing up to standards for the IB degree. That work branched into helping students review/learn the grammar, writing, reading, and general testing skills needed to be successful on the ACT/SAT tests for college. I also work with non-native speakers (adults as well as children)...

I have a PhD in English and have been teaching Composition and Literature at the university level for 25 years. A few years ago, I started tutoring private high school students from non-native families to bring their writing up to standards for the IB degree. That work branched into helping students review/learn the grammar, writing, reading, and general testing skills needed to be successful on the ACT/SAT tests for college. I also work with non-native speakers (adults as well as children) who are needing to improve their English language skills. Using workbooks available at the local bookstore, we work together to improve the writing, reading, speaking, testing skills that need help!
