My people skills are beyond reproach given I worked with children that have complex medical disorders. I have the ability, and patience, to understand the level of knowledge base and needs of the individual student. I presently score all subjects for grade level standardized tests. My vast knowledge base, and communication skills, provides the student with access to someone who has achieved academically at all levels. I am also a Veteran, serving 4 years as a Field Medical Service Corpsman with the United States Marine Corps.
Having worked in the field of Perinatal and Pediatric Cardiology for most of my adult life at large University Medical Centers has given me access to great mentors in all fields of science. My job required diagnosing congenital heart disease and associated genetic disorders. Congenital heart disease is a complex field requiring a high level of understanding of all areas of science including; chemistry, physics, physiology, anatomy, embryology, and all levels of genetics.
As a medical researcher I have written over 70 scientific articles/abstracts, and served as an editor-in-chief for a pediatric ultrasound journal. Most in the medical field consider me to be a prolific writer, editor, and speaker. I have also received 5 national writing awards for presentations in Maternal Fetal Medicine. As mentioned above, I score the standardized tests given to all students, as well as the SAT essay. I presently work for large medical organizations writing Board Exams.
I believe my communication skills, personality, and a fund of knowledge makes me a good tutor for all grade levels. I have worked, or volunteered, with children of all ages all my adult life. The
