I believe that children should have access to individualism in learning. I taught as a Certified Substitute Teacher for a time of twelve years. This included the grades of K-12. In that time I, focused on the children that needed the extra attention. Not because they were any less smart than other children, but that many children learn differently. Traditional doesn't work for all young minds.
I have a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice, a Master's degree in Public Affairs with a Government focus, and a Master's degree in Liberal Studies with a Humanities focus. I worked in the Department of Judicial Affairs at Indiana University South Bend. With Criminal Justice and Government being a Passion of mine, I tutored many student in understanding the Criminal Justice System and the basis of government and political policy.
Although History was not my major, the subjects I'm educated in don't pull together for the present without the history involved that has brought the institutions to where they stand today. I have always been a person of research in an effort to match all of the pieces.
With me as your tutor, I believe in assuming the student doesn't know the information until they can tell it to me without much hesitation. Therefore, many times I will not move to the next situation without the assurance and confidence of the student. I believe learning is a privilege for all who want to. And it is only successful when learning happens. So lets figure out what manner of learning is right for you in order to secure your success!
