Don’t wait until your first midterm to start tutoring. After a poor midterm, confidence often drops sharply, and problems you should be able to solve can suddenly feel much harder. My role is to help you regain confidence by learning how to approach problems clearly and consistently.

I am a Professional Engineer with over 10 years of industry experience, including work with NASA supporting the Artemis program, as well as Lockheed Martin and Mosaic. My background spans aerospace, government, military, chemical manufacturing, and oil and gas, giving me a practical understanding of how core engineering principles are applied in real systems—not just textbooks.

I earned my Mechanical Engineering degree Magna Cum Laude from the University of South Florida and have completed the same core engineering courses many students find challenging. I understand how quickly confidence can fall after the first exam and how important it is to regain footing early in the semester.

I have over 2.5 years of tutoring experience, working one-on-one with students to recover after difficult exams, close foundational gaps, and build reliable problem-solving habits. My tutoring focuses on:

Understanding why equations work

Setting up problems correctly and consistently

Developing repeatable methods you can trust during exams

Through Wyzant’s platform, we can ensure a good fit while I learn about your goals and challenges. I tailor each session to your background and pace, whether you’re rebuilding confidence or preparing ahead of upcoming exams.

My goal is not to make you dependent on tutoring, but to help you trust your own thinking and walk into exams with confidence.

Courses I specialize in include:

Mechanical & General Engineering:
Statics, Dynamics, Mechanics of Solids, Thermodynamics, Fluid Statics, Fluid Dynamics, Heat Transfer, Materials, Manufacturing Processes, Composite Materials, Compressible Flow

Civil Engineering:
Structural Analysis, Hydraulics / Open Channel Flow, Geotechnical Engineering

Approved Subjects

Algebra 1

Algebra 1

As a Mechanical Engineer I have mastered many subjects of math from Algebra to Differential Equations. I applied them in my physics courses and have great knowledge on manipulating variables and equations. I have a passion in seeing my students grasp one of the most important courses in building their mathematical tool belt.
Civil Engineering

Civil Engineering

I’ve tutored many Purdue students in the main civil courses—geotech, coastal, transportation, and hydraulics. I can also help with crossover courses like statics, hydraulics, dynamics, and thermodynamics, which come up often in engineering programs. I’m big on showing students how to set problems up correctly (diagrams, assumptions, step-by-step method), not just getting the final answer. The goal is for you to leave sessions actually understanding what to do on exams.
Mechanical Engineering

Mechanical Engineering

Licensed Mechanical Engineer in Florida. Experience designing HVAC, plumbing, and piping systems for a vast array of facilities while utilizing building codes to provide signed contract documents. Experience utilizing drawing tools such as Revit, AutoCAD, and Microstation.
Project Management

Project Management

Passed the Project Management Professional (PMP) exam. Project range from manufacturing, aerospace, and commercial related facilities. Experience with project planning, cost estimating, proposal development, and leading multi-disciplined architectural and engineering teams.
Thermodynamics

Thermodynamics

Tutored Thermodynamics at multiple Universities including Purdue, Northeastern, and many more. I passed Thermodynamics and Thermal Systems Engineering with a 4.0 GPA. Have great knowledge on thermodynamic cycles including HVAC, Carnot, and other cycles due to my professional knowledge in my career.

Resourceful and Patient Tutor

Christian's been great as far as preparing ahead and helping me work through problems during the hour in a timely manor. I appreciate all of the work that he puts in to our sessions with referencing textbooks and lectures. He's great about being able to help walk me through the different parts of the processes to solving problems and willing to adapt methods to the work with me rather than just explaining how to do the problem with one method.

Great Tutor!

Christian was extremely prepared for our session, he found textbook questions and really explained the material to me step-by-step. He also was really great about answering all my questions big and small. Overall, awesome tutor!
