I am a 58-year-old doctoral candidate, and this is the third proposal that I am submitting in two years. My doctoral work has been a long and, at times, arduous journey. I contacted Wyzant for a tutor to refresh me on the use of a statistical program...I just needed a brief refresher. However, in the first few minutes of our session, my God, Melanie, enlightened me, giving me new insights into my research that my doctoral committee (chair and advisor) did not in these last two years. Within 30 minutes, I had more information that I didn't know I was missing or needed. She discussed my work with me in such detail. I wish I had met her two years ago. I was really confused on what to do in Statistics but when I did a session with her I started to understand the chapter better. She made sure that I got it. Went over it until I understood or close enough. She also good at coming up with other ways to explain the information so you would be a able to get it.
