Bio

I write research-level problems in pure and applied mathematics and theoretical physics for AI evaluation, the kind the strongest current reasoning models still fail to solve. I write research-level problems in pure and applied mathematics and theoretical physics for AI evaluation, the kind the strongest current reasoning models still fail to solve. I teach that material and I build with it: proof-based and graduate mathematics, upper-division physics, formal logic, and the whole machine learning stack from the linear algebra up through code, pipelines and multi-agent systems. My B.S. in Mathematics and B.A. in Physics, both with Honors, are from the University of Florida, where I took Quantum Field Theory I and II and other advanced graduate math and physics courses as an undergraduate. I am completing an M.S. in Artificial Intelligence at Johns Hopkins and moving into a doctoral program.

I was first author on a NASA Technical Memorandum on time series forecasting, and sole author of a paper in logic that won the Robert Long Prize. My research background covers noncommutative geometry, quantum gravity, topological quantum computing, machine learning, climate science and biophysics, at Caltech, NASA and UNC Chapel Hill, through the Biophysical Society and McNair Scholars programs.

I have tutored since 1997, graduate-level coursework since 2012, always one on one. Some are undergraduates and master's candidates, ages 19 and up, working through real analysis or stochastic processes. The rest are engineers and researchers doing guided self-study in applied category theory, quantum computing, topological data analysis, agent systems in Python, or whatever is landing in the AI journals this month. I also build fast-track curricula from scratch and adjust as we go, including taking someone from almost no mathematics to reading string theory.

I mentor research and career planning too, through Nova Scholar and independently. I have helped students publish, file patents, win internships, fellowships and scholarships, and get hired into paid AI training work.

When I teach proofs, you write and I read it back to you, and we find the step where the argument stops holding.

I've been doing/teaching calculus for 20 years. I have a bachelors in math. I have another in physics, and all physics classes are almost entirely calculus-based. I took fourth place at the 2016 University of Florida integration bee. I scored a 5 in Calculus AP.

I took machine learning classes at Berkeley (theory and application). I have worked on a variety of both classic and new data science methods in research projects and industry jobs. For instance, during my time at NASA, I worked on data science research projects wherein I used different forms of machine learning such as clustering, nonlinear regression, regression tree, random forest, and time series analysis and forecasting. Also, I'm well-versed in the main three languages (and packages relevant to data science) used in data science: Python, R, and SQL.

I received an A in differential equations. I have two bachelors degrees, one in math and one in physics (upper levels physics is almost entirely based on differential equations). I have tutored differential equations as well as many classes that build on it for almost 20 years. My mathematical physics research is based on high level differential equations.

The research projects I am working on are well above the level of undergraduate logic of the aforementioned types. I won the Robert Long Prize for a logic paper I wrote.
