My passion for educating young minds comes from making a positive difference. I encourage an engaging, positive learning experience in which students can thrive to their fullest potential. I enjoy tutoring students outside of my teaching work day. It gives me time to work one-on-one or with small groups of students to assist in reinforcing concepts that are currently being taught or give extra practice in subjects that they have not yet mastered. As I do with my students, I present material in an engaging, yet individualized instruction format. I focus on the students specific learning style, and plan accordingly to best meet the needs of each student! My student data has shown these practices work best.
As a classroom teacher, I am knowledgeable of all our new Common Core State standards. These are daily practices and implementations in my instruction. Teachers are highly encouraged to maintain and update knowledge of the latest practices that follows the state's expectations.
