My nickname is "Al." I am a third-generation Florida native retired teacher who has taught social studies, math, GED Prep, SAT reading and writing, Spanish, and ESOL. I am certified by WyzAnt in 42 subjects.

I also had a 4.0 average in my doctoral course work.

I believe in a positive, relaxed atmosphere for learning. Students can learn almost anything if given the time and attention needed. Study skills are important for all subjects and they must be part of the focus. My hourly fee is negotiable on a case-by-case basis.

Great tutor and motivator.

I was very fortunate to pick Al from the many tutors offered by WyzAnt. He always arrived on time and was well prepared for the lessons. I hired Al to help my grandson who needed 20 additional points to pass his GED. Al is very kind, patient and easy to work with. During their first session Al initiated an assessment test to confirm my grandson's weak areas and strengths and he set up a schedule that was best suited for my grandson. He was very accommodating with our changing schedule and every evening Al sent me via email, progress reports and confirmed homework assignments. My grandson just received his GED certificate and he had improved on his test scores by 60 points. I would highly recommend Al without reservations. Not only is he an excellent tutor he is a great person with a great sense of humor and he made learning fun for my grandson. I would absolutely recommend him to anyone looking for a GED tutor or other subjects. I can't say enough about Al because he has been a real blessing.

Aside from having hilarious perks, Evelio is always prepared to teach efficiently and well, and to answer any questions I have to offer. I decided to work with Al to improve my overall ATI TEAS grade. Specifically, I was struggling with English and Science. I worked with Al for about a month and took about 16 sessions. Each session he lectured and gave lessons which had information and concepts that were on the test. Each lesson also consisted of plenty of examples and practice questions/problems that helped me retain information and get a realistic view of what a question on the ATI TEAS would ask. Each lesson I took with Al was very fun, informative, and clear. At any point I had issues or questions, Al would communicate and address my questions clearly. Al is highly education and qualified, he has a master’s degree in education and many years of teaching. I received tutoring for a month, specifically working on English and science. He was able to help me improve my English score by 7%, science by 31%, and overall a 11% increase in my score. Al has very affordable tutoring sessions and scheduling a lesson with Al is worth the investment. I look forward to working with Al again for future tutoring sessions.

When you need a refresher, He's your man

I've really enjoyed having this man as my tutor. He has a sense of humor/ he corrects you when it's needed, he goes through review questions with you for each lesson he's taught you. He masters in English and Scientific reasoning, which is what I really needed to focus on taking the TEAS.
