I am especially comfortable helping students develop skills in business, psychology, Excel, payroll fundamentals, professional development, and Lean Six Sigma concepts.

My approach to tutoring is patient, practical, and focused on making difficult concepts easier to understand. I believe students learn best when information is connected to real-life situations rather than simply memorized. I take time to understand a student’s current level, identify areas where they need additional support, and then explain concepts step by step using examples, questions, and practical exercises. My goal is not simply to give students an answer, but to help them understand the reasoning behind it so they can become more confident and independent learners.

Through my professional and educational experiences, I have developed strong communication, problem-solving, organization, and mentoring skills. I enjoy helping people recognize their strengths, work through challenges, and build confidence in their abilities. I am an HBCU graduate with a Bachelor’s degree from Edward Waters University, where I developed a strong academic and personal connection to African American history, culture, leadership, and the Black collegiate experience. My experience at an HBCU provided me with firsthand exposure to the traditions, achievements, challenges, and contributions of African Americans in higher education and society. As a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Incorporated, I have further strengthened my understanding of Black history, scholarship, service, leadership, and community engagement. I look forward to helping students connect academic concepts in African American Studies to historical context, cultural experiences, and the broader impact of African Americans on society.
