I am currently a Computer Science student at the University of South Florida with a 3.6 GPA, where I have completed coursework in programming, discrete structures, and engineering foundations. My academic experience has provided me with a strong foundation in mathematics, including Algebra 1, Algebra 2, Geometry, Trigonometry, Precalculus, and Calculus 1 and 2. Through these courses, I have developed strong analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, along with a clear understanding of how advanced math concepts build on fundamental principles.

I have experience working with students in both classroom and small group settings. As a Math Teacher Assistant at Math English Science Academy, I worked with middle and high school students, supporting them in subjects such as Prealgebra, Algebra, and Geometry. In this role, I helped break down complex topics into clear, manageable steps, created instructional materials, and monitored student progress to ensure improvement. I have also worked with younger students, which has strengthened my ability to adapt my teaching style to different age groups and learning levels.

My teaching approach is focused on clarity, patience, and results. I prioritize helping students understand the reasoning behind each step rather than relying on memorization. I guide students through problems step-by-step, build strong foundational skills, and gradually increase difficulty to improve confidence and independence. For higher-level subjects like Precalculus and Calculus, I emphasize problem-solving strategies and real-world applications to deepen understanding. I am comfortable working one-on-one or in small groups, and my goal is to help students improve their performance while building long-term confidence in math.

Algebra 1

I am a Computer Science major at the University of South Florida with a strong foundation in algebra and problem-solving. I regularly use algebra in my college coursework, including working with functions, equations, and graphing. I’m comfortable breaking problems down step by step to make them easier to understand. My goal is to help students build confidence and actually understand the material, not just memorize steps.

Precalculus

I earned an A+ in Precalculus and still have worksheets, tips, and strategies from my class that I can use to help students succeed. I’m eager to share these resources and support learners in mastering the material.
