Hello! I am Stacy, an energetic English teacher and test prep specialist from Tampa, FL with a passion for helping students thrive. My greatest strength is my ability to accurately assess students' areas of excellence and development and create effective plans to help them reach goals and improve their skill sets. Throughout my ten-year career, I have worked with a large cross-section of students with various abilities, exceptionalities, and language levels. Over time, I have developed a robust toolbank of techniques and strategies that help students make gains. Literacy gains result from gradual increases in content knowledge, question understanding, and comprehension improvements. It is my job to figure out how to improve a student's performance in these areas, and I do it well.
Born and raised in New York City, I worked a Wall Street job for seven years before following my passion and entering education. I now have two master's degrees - in Teaching English to New English Learners (Hunter College), and in Educational Leadership (University of Tampa). Working in finance before education has given me unique perspectives on how to work quickly and effectively to improve performance. I would love to work with you!
