With a diverse and accomplished background in business IT/IS, my journey began in the US Army, where I proudly served as a 2LT in the Signal Corps and rose to 1LT/CPT during deployment to Bagram, Afghanistan (2011-2012). After transitioning to civilian life, I honed my skills in IT managed services—a vital area of IT—and quickly advanced to senior management roles across Operations Management, Project Management, and IT Service Management.

My educational foundation is extensive with three master’s degrees (MBA, MSIT, MSMIS). Alongside my degrees, I hold two post-graduate certificates in Health Informatics and IT Leadership/Management, plus a broad array of IT and professional certifications, including ACP, PMP, RMP, COBIT5, CSM, CSPO, ITIL4, LSSYB, TOGAF 9, SAFe5 SA, and SAFe5 SP. Currently I am studying for NCMA's CPCM certification as well as Florida's temporary K-6 teaching license. I expect to earn those sometime in 2025.

I also bring valuable teaching experience. Initially studying elementary education during undergrad, I completed extensive volunteer hours, eventually teaching pre-school and after-school students, where I developed skills in creating structured and impactful lesson plans. I later expanded my teaching expertise as an ESL English instructor for Chinese students with VIPKid, a role I remain eligible to return to today. Throughout my extensive career in academia and teaching/volunteering, I was quick to note the difference between those who succeeded and those who struggled, was the attitude they brought to learning the subject. The more positive the learning experience, the more positive the results. Education doesn't have to be boring!

Business

Gaining experience in the US Army, I have transitioned to civilian. During my varied career, I have risen in progressive responsibilities in my many roles within the Business/IT industry. Managing to obtain two master degrees, MBA & MSIT. Currently, I am finishing a third masters degree in management information systems. In addition, I hold two post-graduate level certificates and a high number of industry/vendor certifications in the subjects of business, IT, and vendor specific. As I progressed in academia focusing on business, more advanced courses were required.
Elementary (K-6th)

Elementary (K-6th)

Glad you found me! I'd like to take some time to explain my qualifications for elementary education. Early in my collegiate career, I majored in elementary education. Core courses in that program, required shadowing and volunteering at a number of elementary schools within my area. Multiple courses required performing as a teacher aide helping to develop student learning curriculum, so I probably have spent a number of weeks/months having completed this under the supervision of a licensed teacher. In addition, during my undergraduate years, I worked at a number of child care facilities as a lead teacher for Pre-K and After-School aged children. As part of my role, I created detailed and fun lesson plans to keep the children in my classes engaged. A big aspect of the role was to review a child's schoolwork and assist with homework. This was a big deal, as many parents who enrolled their children, wanted their child's homework completed prior to being picked up to go home. Furthermore, shortly prior to enrolling in graduate school, I taught virtual to elementary aged children (ESOL) English as a Second Language through the online platform, VIPKids. I am still active to teach on this platform today. Due to their rigorous requirements, you must present a lesson plan virtually to a panel (or senior level teachers) to be approved to teach a subject. As a fun side note* my daughter is an elementary school aged child so I do help her with her work with ranges in: mathematics, social studies, art, history, science, etc.
Elementary Math

Elementary Math

Mathematics is a intriguing and wonderful subject where being precise is key! If you struggle with math, I can certainly help you. Unfortunately, math gets bad rap these days and it really is fun once you take your time and gain a foundation and learn the formulas. Elementary Science

Elementary Science

I call science the subject of wonders. There is so much beauty to science and like mathematics, a lot of the calculations are quite precise. If you struggle with science, I can help you learn it's not as difficult as you might think. I'd like to take some time to explain my qualifications for elementary education. Project Management

As the title suggests, I have over 10 years experience managing projects. This experience began when I was commissioned as an officer leading and managing troops and IT projects. My experience continued in the civilian world as a project manager managing projects relating to managed print services which is a subset of IT. I hold numerous project management certifications, also courses in project management that led to multiple masters degrees and post-graduate certificates. I am familiar in several project management methodologies such as waterfall, agile, and hybrid in methodologies such as Lean, Scrum, SAFe, XP, PMI, Kanban, Kaizen, etc.
