Call me Bob.
I’m a retired Nurse Practitioner, and have earned my living in health care since I was a US Air Force medic right out of high school. My formal education includes a bachelors degree in biology and both an associate degree and a Master of Science degree in nursing.
My formal teaching experience includes 2 years as an instructor in the USF College of Medicine, where I taught Physical Diagnosis and supervised medical students in clinical settings.
Although I earned my living in health care, my heart has always been in natural sciences. As a biologist, my special interests include organic evolution and the elements and mechanisms of natural selection; reproductive strategies, terrestrial animal ecology, general zoology, and herpetology.
I enjoy teaching young people in an informal, relaxed atmosphere, utilizing a question – and answer – and explanation method. Making a difficult or complex concept come to life in the mind of a youngster is what I enjoy most. Contact me and let me help you with your learning needs!
