Rahman I.

My name is Rahman I. and I am a 4th year undergraduate student. I hold a bachelor’s degree in biochemistry from the University of Florida (UF) and I am certified in project management and virtual tutoring. My educational journey has equipped me with a strong foundation in Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry, Geometry, Physics and Chemistry which I am enthusiastic about sharing. While attending the university of Florida, I took a lot of math courses like Calculus, Algebra, Trigonometry and Geometry. I had an A in all these courses because of my passion for math as a STEM major. I was also able to attain the dean list for four consecutive semesters with a GPA of 3.9 and I attribute my outstanding academic achievements to my tutor help.

While studying at UF, I have been actively involved in tutoring and teaching for about 3 years in math and science subjects. My teaching approach is tailored to each student’s unique learning style which could be visual methods to help students gain true mastery of complex concepts. I find it helpful to understand the best form of learning that fits each student which is both helpful for the student and me as a tutor. I have worked with students across various age groups, including middle school, high school and college level students in a variety of settings such as one-on-one virtual or in-person tutoring, classroom teaching, and volunteer work. In addition, I have also tutored college students in higher math classes like calculus statistics in a group of 3-6 students. I find group tutoring very interactive as each student in the group could bring unique ideas to help students understanding in their own words. I also tutored SAT and ACT math preps and my students score were above 700 on average for SAT and 32 for the ACT.
