About Michael

Bio

I just recently graduated from the University of Pittsburgh with a degree in Mathematics and Economics. I have been tutoring as part of the Math Assistance Center, or MAC, at the University for the better part of the last two years.

Enabling students to understand any concept they've been struggling with is extremely rewarding for me as a tutor. Seeing the 'light' so to speak go on in their head makes the time spent worthwhile.

Approved Subjects

Earth Science

Earth Science

I have a PhD in Meteorology from Florida State University and a strong background in weather, climate, and atmospheric science. I’ve taught and worked with undergraduate students in several Earth science-related courses, helping explain both conceptual topics and more quantitative material. My research focused on large-scale atmospheric processes and climate variability, so I’m comfortable helping with topics ranging from basic Earth science to more advanced meteorology and climatology.
