I am new to online tutoring services, so I am still building my online portfolio and offering low rates. However, I have been teaching in academic settings since 2018. I am also bilingual in Arabic and English. I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Florida State University, where I focused my studies on developmental neuroscience, and a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology from St. Cloud State University. My background spans biology, neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, anatomy and physiology, and psychology, and teaching has been a constant throughout all of it. As a graduate teaching assistant, I led cadaver-based human neuroanatomy labs for medical and speech-language pathology students at a time. As an undergraduate TA and tutor, I ran weekly group tutoring workshops for an Introduction to Psychology course and provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring in Human Anatomy and Anatomy & Physiology.

My approach to teaching comes from my own experience as a learner. I have ADHD, and I struggled in school not because I couldn't understand the material, but because the format it came in wasn't built for how my brain works. I also came to the U.S. from Egypt at nineteen, learning in my second language and navigating an unfamiliar academic culture. Both experiences taught me what it feels like to understand something and not have the words for it yet, and I teach with that in mind. I break material into manageable pieces rather than long unbroken explanations, use multiple ways of presenting the same concept (visual, verbal, hands-on), and check for real understanding rather than confidence.

I'm a very outgoing person, and I want to actually know my students, track their progress, and be someone they remember for how they felt in a session, not just what they memorized. That's the kind of tutor I intend to be.

Approved Subjects

Anatomy

Anatomy

As a graduate researcher, I led cadaver-based human neuroanatomy labs for groups of up to 30 medical and speech-language pathology students at a time. As an undergraduate TA and tutor, I ran weekly group tutoring workshops for a 100-student course and provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring in the Human Anatomy and Physiology courses.
Biology

Biology

I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Florida State University, where I studied developmental neuroscience, and a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology from St. Cloud State University, where I graduated summa cum laude. My background spans neuroscience, molecular and cellular biology, anatomy and physiology, and psychology, and teaching has been a constant throughout all of it. I have specifically tutored both undergrad and grad biology since 2018.
Neuroscience

Neuroscience

I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Florida State University with a focus in developmental neuroscience. My thesis research and neuroscience coursework covered neural structure and function in depth, from cellular and molecular mechanisms of the nervous system to how neural circuits give rise to behavior. I break complex neuroscience topics into manageable pieces and use multiple ways of explaining the same concept until it truly clicks, not just until it sounds familiar.
Physiology

Physiology

As a graduate researcher, I led cadaver-based human neuroanatomy labs for groups of up to 30 medical and speech-language pathology students, connecting anatomical structures to physiological function. As an undergraduate TA and tutor, I ran weekly group tutoring workshops for a 100-student Human Anatomy and Physiology course and provided one-on-one and small-group tutoring, helping students master core concepts like homeostasis, membrane transport, and the neuromuscular and cardiovascular systems.
Psychology

Psychology

I hold a Ph.D. in Biomedical Sciences from Florida State University, where I focused my studies on developmental neuroscience, and a B.S. in Biomedical Sciences with a minor in Psychology from St. Cloud State University.
