I hold both a bachelor's as well as a master's degree in Chemistry with a minor study in German Language. In the time since earning my degrees, I have been able to pursue a career in public service as an analytical chemist, directly allowing me to translate the skills I learned in school into keeping my community safe!
During my time in university, I have had the pleasure of tutoring high school (ages 16-18) and early college students (ages 18-21) in both private one-on-one and group settings for Chemistry and German. I have even taught entire classrooms - serving as a teaching assistant during my three years of graduate study for undergraduate and more advanced, graduate level courses.
I would describe myself to be a very patient and persistent tutor. I truly care about the progress my students make, and it brings me great joy to see them improve week by week. I feel grateful for the opportunities that studying Chemistry has given me, and I would love to give back to the subject by making this traditionally difficult subject more approachable and engaging for students. Who knows? Maybe I'll make a few future scientists along the way!
