I am a certified ESE (Exceptional Student Education) and Reading-Endorsed teacher with four years of classroom experience. I earned my degree from Florida A&M University (FAMU), where I studied education and journalism. During my studies, I also had the opportunity to study abroad in Cape Town, London, and Italy, gaining valuable cultural and educational perspectives that shape my teaching approach today.
My teaching experience includes working with a diverse range of students from elementary through high school. I have taught high school ESE students functioning at cognitive levels up to 6th grade, general education 3rd grade ELA at a Title I school, and I currently serve as a 6th-grade support facilitation teacher. In this role, I also teach a learning strategies class focused on improving reading and math skills.
I specialize in helping students who need extra support in reading, writing, and math by using individualized instruction, engaging lessons, and patience. My goal is to build each student’s confidence while developing strong foundational academic skills that lead to long-term success.
I am currently available to tutor students in grades 3–6, focusing on reading comprehension, writing, and math support.
