Hello! I am currently a Data Scientist for Florida Department of Management Services. Prior to my current role, I was a physics graduate pursuing a PhD with a Master's in Physics. I attended Rochester Institute of Technology for my undergraduate studies where I took several intensive physics and math courses. I also spent multiple semesters as a learning assistant, where I worked as a TA in lower-level classes and took a course on teaching and pedagogy. I graduated cum laude in 2021 with my Bachelor's in Physics and was a member of the honors program as well.
I went on to pursue my PhD in physics at Florida State University. I worked as a TA while also taking classes and doing research. I have also had one-on-one tutoring sessions with students. I was in an experimental nuclear physics group studying heavy nuclei and how they are formed in stars! If you're interested, I'd be happy to tell you more about it. I received my Master's in Physics in December of 2022.
Now I am a full-time Data Scientist working with many data analysis tools such as PowerBi, Alteryx, Excel, SQL, among others. My work has focused on aspects of data engineering, management, and visualization to increase efficiency within the department.
In summary, I have extensive experience in both TAing and tutoring, so send me a message and set something up! I do both in-person and online tutoring. I can cover all physics courses (high school and college level), many math courses, as well as general data science subjects. We can set up a schedule and decide what best works for you in our sessions: lecture-based, going over practice problems, exam prep, etc. I hope to hear from you soon!
