I do not wish to resume practicing, but because I still enjoy working, I am seeking to tutor students who may benefit from my unusually strong academic background. I especially enjoy helping students actually learn HOW to learn, as this active process is necessary for lifelong learning.
My undergraduate math studies were some of the most interesting courses I had. I maintained a perfect A average throughout, and often tutored student groups in the SAME course I was taking. I understand HOW to understand and transmit mathematical principles in a simple straight forward manner.
Well, it starts with four undergraduate years in Premed Sciences, followed by four years of Medical School, followed by five years specializing in the practical aspects of applying all this to living people! I have always loved understanding science, and still do.
I find myself daily reading the latest on this or that aspect of science, and I believe loving a subject is SO IMPORTANT if one is to successfully teach that subject!
I am "over-educated", no doubt, but I truly love learning and understand how to transmit information to students at many different levels.
