Hi, I’m Carrie. Your child’s goal may be a higher math grade, a better score on a standardized or entrance exam, success on an end-of-course test, or a passing AP score. No matter the goal, I have a proven record of helping students get real, measurable results.
I have worked with students in grades 4 through 12. This has given me a deep understanding of the common learning gaps that can cause problems year after year.
My students often see results quickly, but those results also last. I use teaching methods found in some of the best school systems in the world. My goal is not just to help students pass the next test. I want them to build skills they can use throughout school.
Some students need only a few sessions. Others need support over a longer period of time. Either way, I begin by quickly finding each student’s strengths and weaknesses. This helps us find some quick wins. Those early wins build confidence and help students feel more motivated.
It also keeps us focused on exactly what the student needs, so none of our time together is wasted.
We can focus only on our tutoring sessions, or I can recommend games and other simple activities your child can use during the week to practice and build stronger skills.
