My name is Lonnie and I'm ready to tutor and ready to help those who are looking to enhance their knowledge in mixing, mastering, and depth of knowledge of Avid Pro Tools. As you may know Avid Pro Tools is an industry-leading Digital Audio Workstation (DAW) in which I am a Certified Operator. I have recorded, mixed and mastered over 500 songs/projects using Avid Pro Tools. Pro Tools is widely used in the music industry and can be a vital tool in your audio production efforts. It has powerful functionality for mixing, mastering, Dolby Surround Sound mixing Dolby Atmos projects.

Our session will be filled with technical strategies for you to learn and to be able to apply to your own projects. My goal is to be able to teach you skills that can be applied to any musical composition, recording session, or mix. At the end of our sessions you will have an understanding of processes related to using Avid Pro Tools for recording, music production, mixing, and mastering.
With 15+ years of experience working with various DAWs (i.e. Logic Pro, Pro Tools, Studio One and Audacity) and have mixed and mastered various genres of music. I'm very agile with my approach and ear for what will make your learning experience insightful and to your expectations. I've taught and worked in the school system as a high school basketball coach, computer lab manager and long-term substitute for 6 years. This experience carries forward with tutoring as well. My students will also get the opportunity to learn songwriting, for I'm also an artist; so you'll also get my efforts from an artist's perspective as well.

Very knowledgable and patient!

Lonnie was very good at listening and working with the goals I had wanted to achieve. He is an excellent communicator, and although my style of music isn't what he normally runs across, he did a great job of helping me get started with my Logic Pro project, and understanding what adjustments needed to be made. I will be asking for more help from him shortly!
