Greetings! I am a 31 year veteran and licensed (Florida) physics teacher. I currently teach AP Physics 1, AP Physics C: Mechanics, and AP Physics C: Electricity and Magnetism at a large public school in Winter Garden, Florida. In the past, I have taught AP Physics 2 as well. Over the summer, I am an AP exam reader for the CollegeBoard. Occasionally, I adjunct at local state colleges remotely. I hold a B.S. in Science Education from the State of Florida with certifications in Physics, Chemistry, and Engineering. I also have a M.Ed in Educational Leadership. I used to be an assistant principal in Orlando, Florida.
Over the past three decades I have helped thousands of students achieve their post secondary goals in medicine, engineering, or research. I believe that to learn physics, you need to DO Physics. By that I mean in an experimental way. In my classes, we do a LOT of labs. We look at data and try to interpret results. This is the heart of physics. While it may be hard to do experiments remotely, we can talk about experiments and I can show you data I have collected on hundreds of topics. Overall, it will enrich your understanding of concepts in physics.
I am looking forward to helping you succeed on whatever path you are on.
