Hi! I’m Hannah! I graduated cum laude in Environmental Science and Policy in the Analysis track which is pretty much GIS including the back end coding in R Studio. I have tutoring experience from volunteering in high school and college. My teaching style is a mixture of teaching and listening. I try to find creative ways to engage with the material to ease stress. Hi! I helped facilitate a school-wide climate teach-in where I ran multiple events that week such as a research expo and art event relating to sustainability.
I have completed internships incorporating agricultural science and geoscience. Core ideas in my internships included how insects impact soils and how the plants will grow and develop from said soil. Insect biodiversity can help protect many types of crops due to pollination and natural predation. At my work I have learned the impact of many plant diseases and how to treat them. I have also seen firsthand how important it is to protect certain pests from certain locations geographically in the environment so that the whole of the agricultural landscape in a particular region is not threatened.
