Bio

I have more availability in the morning and early afternoon.
I have a Master's from Florida Gulf Coast University and a degree in Applied Mathematics from SUNY Stony Brook. I have been a math teacher in Florida middle school and high schools. I have also taught in middle schools and high schools in China and South Korea. I have tutored small groups and one on one. I am very good and helping students that haven't been able to learn from their classroom teacher.

I enjoy helping others, especially with math. I get along well with children and have a love for teaching. I am happy to help in person and follow up by email. As an experienced classroom teacher, I am able to model problems and help students through guided practice and allow them to demonstrate knowledge and mastery through independent practice.

Punctual, patient and great with my son

Steven worked with my son covering difficult Algebra concepts. These concepts are ones that were never covered in Algebra 1, two years ago. My son is more prepared for his test thanks to the session.
