Approved subjects are in bold.

Approved subjects

In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. If a tutor is interested but not yet approved in a subject, the subject will appear in non-bold font. Tutors need to be approved in a subject prior to beginning lessons.

Bar Exam

I passed the Florida Bar exam on my first attempt and I also passed the New York Bar exam on my first attempt. I have been a practicing attorney for twenty-six years.

Criminal Justice

I am an attorney admitted in both Florida and in New York. I was a public defender in New York City and I represented criminal defendants in Florida in both state and federal court. I also worked as a Trial Court Law Clerk for the judiciary in Florida for over nine years.

Government & Politics

I am a practicing attorney for over twenty years and a history major graduate. I have tutored several students online with research and writing projects.

Grammar

I can tutor writing as I have been a law clerk to the judiciary where I prepared thousands of written orders on various motions. Further, I have published two scholarly articles on separate legal topics. One of my legal articles was cited by an appellate court in Florida. Further, I was a Child Support Hearing Officer and Magistrate for over seven years, where I had occasion to write orders and judgments on legal cases.

Law

I have been a practicing attorney for over 20 years and I passed both the New York State and Florida Bar exams on my first attempts.

Public Speaking

I am qualified to teach public speaking as I have been a practicing attorney for over twenty-six years. I have been a trial attorney for a majority of my legal career and I have tried numerous cases to juries and to judges. I have also taken acting classes and performed a monologue and a scene from a play.

Simplified Difficult Concepts

Reading a contract is a lot like studying a foreign language. Robert helped me to understand the elements of the contract, then to put the words together to form concepts. Working with him, helped to take hours off frustrating "hair pulling" time. So, tonight I can take a nap instead of sitting a my desk trying to figure out whose the grantor vs grantee. Naps are nice. Do yourself a favor, ca
