In most cases, tutors gain approval in a subject by passing a proficiency exam. For some subject areas, like music and art, tutors submit written requests to demonstrate their proficiency to potential students. Middle school and high school learning is built upon the education taught in elementary school. Having tutored both middle school and high school students, I have discovered that sometimes it is necessary to review basic subjects initially taught in elementary school. Having a deep understanding of introductory mathematics, writing, reading, history, and science assists students so they can excel in future academic courses. I have used Microsoft Outlook for several years for both academic and career purposes. I can explain how to send, reply, and forward emails. I know how to send a blind carbon copy or a carbon copy.
