I was born and grew up in Taiwan, lived in Belize for 18 years, and moved to the United States in 2006. I am very fluent in English and Mandarin Chinese and do speak some Spanish. Holding a Bachelor Degree in Mathematics Education, I have taught middle/high school mathematics. I am a very patient teacher and believe that I can help students confidently achieve their goals.

I met Yu Ya for the first time this past Thursday and I was very impressed with her professionalism, preparedness and just as important, her personality. There is no doubt about her expertise in the Chinese language and she thoroughly explained things as we went along. I am looking forward to my next class this Thursday!
