Hi, thank you for visiting my profile! I’ve always believed that math doesn’t have to feel like a roadblock—it can be understandable, approachable, and even enjoyable with the right guidance. My tutoring journey began in high school, when classmates would come to me for last-minute help before tests. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed breaking down complex concepts into simple, manageable steps and watching that “lightbulb moment” when things finally clicked. Since then, I’ve worked with students across a wide range of levels, from middle schoolers learning algebra to college students tackling calculus.
I studied at Cornell University, where I served as a teaching assistant for both Calculus I and Statistics I. In that role, I led discussion sections, helped students navigate challenging problem sets, and supported them in building a solid understanding of core concepts. I scored a 34 on the ACT, including a perfect 36 in math, and I’ve coached students to increase their ACT scores by 6 or more points—or boost their SAT scores by 200+ points. I tailor test prep to each student’s needs, combining focused content review with time-saving strategies and techniques for managing test anxiety.
When we work together, my goal is to make each session collaborative, engaging, and low-pressure. I create a conversational environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, even about topics they find frustrating or confusing. Because every student learns differently, I adapt my teaching style to fit their perspective—whether that means using visuals, walking through problems step-by-step, or relating math to real-world examples. I also help students strengthen broader academic skills like organization, stress management, and independent problem-solving, so their growth extends far beyond the next test.
Whether your goal is to raise a test score, improve a grade, or finally feel confident in math, I’m here to support you every step of the way. Let’s make math make sense—together.
