Hi, thank you for visiting my profile! I've always believed that math doesn't have to feel like a roadblock. It can be understandable, approachable, and enjoyable with the right guidance. My tutoring journey began in high school, when classmates would come to me for last-minute help before tests. I quickly discovered how much I enjoyed breaking down complex concepts into simple steps and watching that "lightbulb moment" when things finally clicked. That passion led me to Cornell University, where I served as a teaching assistant for both Calculus I and Statistics I, helping students work through challenging problem sets and build a solid understanding of core concepts. Since then, I've worked with students across all levels, from middle schoolers learning pre-algebra and algebra to high school students in geometry, trigonometry, and pre-calculus, all the way to college students tackling calculus and statistics.
I've also worked extensively on ACT and SAT preparation across all sections, with particular expertise in ACT Math and SAT Math. After scoring a 34 on the ACT myself, including a perfect 36 in math, I've coached students to meaningful score improvements on both tests. I tailor test prep to each student's needs, combining content review with time-saving strategies.
When we work together, my goal is to make each session collaborative, engaging, and low-pressure. I create a conversational environment where students feel comfortable asking questions, even about topics they find frustrating. Because every student learns differently, I adapt my approach to fit their perspective, whether using visuals, walking through problems step-by-step, or relating math to real-world examples. I also help students build broader skills like organization and independent problem-solving.
Whether your goal is to raise a test score, improve a grade, or finally feel confident in math, I'm here to support you. Let's make math make sense together.
