I worked as a math tutor at Seminole State College for over 6 years while getting my degrees. I tutored students from Elementary Math through Differential Equations and Statistics. For 2 years, I was a math instructor at Mathnasium in Lake Mary helping K-12 students learn and understand math. I taught at Taylor Middle High School for a semester: Trigonometry, Math for College Readiness, and AP Calculus AB. Lastly, for 2 years, I worked at UCF as a GTA for Business Statistics. I also was a private tutor for over 4 years for primarily Intermediate Algebra, College Algebra, Statistics, and Business Statistics.
I've tutored in many formats. One-on-one is the most common. I've hosted sessions for classes and have taught lessons for classes. Another common method was group tutoring, which was popular for a class that wanted to pay less per hour but tutored in a small group (not completely one-on-one, but small enough to ask questions).
