I was a political science undergraduate major but studied extensively in history and philosophy. During my active working career, I was widely acknowledged to be the person to call upon if you needed somebody to provide immediate expertise in a classroom or a large lecture hall. I was even a regular visitor to elementary schools to talk about rainforest ecology.
My most recent teaching work was in Burma/Myanmar teaching democratic governance and human rights to university-aged students, many of whom I remain in close contact with and tutor from afar to this day.
