I am an NTA Certified private math tutor. I have 7 years of experience helping students increase their grades and their test scores. I am not naturally gifted in math; I had to study hard to get where I am now. When I first took the GRE, I got a 158, which is the 65th percentile. I studied for a couple of months, and then I earned a 167, which is the 89th percentile (an increase of 24 percentile points!). I specialize in SAT, ACT, and GRE Math tutoring because I know the strategies to get major improvements in scores on these exams. Someone who is naturally gifted at math can't tell you how to improve, since their success came to them effortlessly. But someone like myself, who went from a low- or mid-level score to a high score, knows exactly how it's done.

I have tutored for the ACT math and SAT math, as well as various math subjects up to college precalculus. I have over 500 hours of tutoring experience.

I have taken up to Calculus 2 at UCF, and I have tutored many students in Algebra 1 for an extended period of time. I am especially good at explaining through realistic and relevant examples. I know multiples ways to teach many of the concepts, so I can tailor the tutoring to what works best for each student.

I have tutored many students in high school geometry, helping them raise their grade by an average of 2 letter grades over the course of a school year.
Prealgebra

I have tutored many students in prealgebra over the last 5 years. They all raised their grades at least one grade level, and most raised it by at least two grade levels over the course of a school year. Prealgebra is the basics that all math builds upon, and I have taught it to young students and re-taught it to other students in courses up to calculus. Because of my 500+ plus hours of tutoring math, I know multiple ways to teach the same topics so that I can teach those topics to any student, math-inclined or not.

I have experience tutoring many students in high school Precalculus, as well as Trigonometry/Precalculus college courses. I know how to help students understand the material that is uniquely difficult due to the nature of the material. It is fundamentally different from all of the math courses students have taken before, and I know how to teach it differently to make it make sense.

I have tutored more than 10 students in SAT math. I have tutored in test prep for many other tests, including the math portions of the ACT, ASVAB, GED, and GKT. I have over 500+ hours of math tutoring in math up to college Precalculus.
