I earned my degrees from NYU (BA) and Harvard University(AM). During my teaching career I participated in 2 NEH ( National Endowment for the Humanities) seminars- one on the Industrial Revolution in England ( held in UK) and the World of Dickens ( held in Santa Cruz, CA) i have led many students on trips to Europe during my summer breaks and was also a Program Dean with the OxBridge Program at Peterhouse College for 2 consecutive summers
My students would refer to me as the “fun teacher.” My teaching methods included PBL (I continue to be involved in NHD- National History Day) ,lecture with a lot of attention to Primary Sources. I’m very anecdotal and this has helped to make my classes interesting.
