Hello! I’m Marc — a professional with a dual background in engineering and biology, passionate about helping my students gain real-world skills that support lasting careers.

With over 30 years in product development, shipbuilding, furniture design, and digital manufacturing, I bring deep expertise in design technologies. I began using AutoCAD when it was the industry standard for 2D drafting, became a Certified SolidWorks Associate to support parametric 3D design for manufacturing, and have used Rhino 3D for over 25 years for its unmatched, unconstrained flexibility. Today, I teach job seekers, students, and professionals both 3D design and CAM for programming CNC equipment. These skills enable them to take projects from concept to 3D model to prototype.

In response to growing needs in healthcare education, I became an Adjunct Professor of Biology and of Anatomy & Physiology at our community college four years ago. I taught high school Honors Biology as a guest instructor. Whether in person or online, I help students grasp challenging topics including genetics, protein synthesis, cell division, hormone regulation, immune system, the nervous system, and metabolism.

If you're struggling with a specific concept or working on a design or a biology project, I’ll help you build understanding and confidence. Together, we’ll turn challenges into achievements and keep you on track for success. Let’s work together to achieve your goals!

Anatomy

Anatomy

Learning Anatomy can be overwhelming—but it doesn’t have to be! If you are preparing for a career as a healthcare provider, a thorough understanding Human Anatomy is absolutely essential. As a Vertebrate Biologist with over 20 years of experience, I integrate lecture content in my college classes with lab-based learning, using digital and physical models to reinforce complex structures and improve retention. I emphasize experiential and comparative learning—drawing connections between human anatomy and other vertebrates to highlight evolutionary context. Regardless of your learning style, I’ll help you make sense of even the most complex structures, including the peripheral nervous system!
AutoCAD

AutoCAD

AutoCAD is a powerful tool for anyone pursuing careers in architecture, civil engineering, construction, manufacturing, or interior design. With over 30 years of experience, I help students master 2D drafting for classwork, technical drawings, and real-world applications. I regularly use AutoCAD to specify precise CAM designs for programming of CNC routers, lasers, plasma cutter, and other 2D digital fabrication tools. Whether you're a STEAM student, tech-ed learner, or aspiring designer, I’ll guide you in creating clear, efficient drawings and using AutoCAD to bring ideas to life. From learning commands to building complete projects, we’ll tailor sessions to meet your goals. Let’s unlock your design potential together!
Biology

Biology

Biology doesn’t have to feel overwhelming! Whether you're learning cell structure in high school or tackling human anatomy in college, I’ll help you break down complex topics into manageable, meaningful parts. With experience teaching at both the college and high school levels—including special needs classrooms—I tailor my approach to your learning style. My background in field research and lab investigation brings biology to life with real-world context. We’ll build your skills step-by-step by boosting your understanding, vocabulary, and confidence, so you can succeed in class, prepare for exams, or explore your interest in science and healthcare careers. From confusion to confidence—science made simple!
Physiology

Physiology

Physiology can be tough with so many systems, so much vocabulary, and everything seems connected! I use active tools like interactive quizzes, guided models, and real-world analogies to make abstract concepts easier to understand. As a Marine Engineer and Vertebrate Biologist, I encourage students to think critically about how body systems function and how they might even be improved! We’ll break down the jargon, use sentence starters and word banks to simplify tricky terms, and build your confidence one step at a time. Whether you’re feeling lost or just need a better way to study, I’ll help you learn how the body works—and actually remember it!
Solidworks

Solidworks

If you’re new to SolidWorks, learning 3D design can feel like a leap! I’ve used the versatile surface modeler Rhino 3D for decades to design ships, cabinetry, and industrial products, so I understand the challenges of transitioning directly from 2D CAD to 3D parametric tools like SolidWorks or Autodesk Inventor. As a Certified SolidWorks Associate for 14 years, I help students move past sketch errors, confusing constraints, and improper assemblies. I focus on developing strong modeling habits and practical skills. Let’s work together to build your confidence step-by-step and unlock the full power of SolidWorks!

Very knowledgeable and accommodating tutor

Marc helped me figure out some things that were amiss in my Rhino settings. I needed someone with more knowledge of this program to guide me, and Marc did that very well. I appreciate his patience and accommodations.
